Jade - Director
Hello, my name is Jade, I am one of the directors here at The Beauty Project.
In 2016, I began my career working in a Residential Children’s Home. Loving the profession, I remained within the sector and continue to do so. I gained my Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification and continue on with further development.
Throughout my time, I have worked with a variety of unique young people in different settings from 6 bedded, solo homes, semi-independent and special needs units. I specialise in extreme emotional and behavioural difficulties stemming from early onset childhood neglect and abuse.
I practice the theory of the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention model (TCI) aimed to help children and young people learn constructive ways to handle crisis. Using TCI and the healing aspects of drama and theatre, a degree I earned in 2016, I aim to help children and young people explore and reflect upon their feelings in a creative and experimental way.
Alongside my role, I have worked within a special education school for children who struggle in mainstream due to behaviours. Working with children and young people, I have experience in:
- ADHD,
- ODD,
- Attachment Disorders,
- Autism,
- Anxiety,
- Foetal Alcohol Syndrome,
- Pseudologia fantastica,
- Eating Disorders,
- Self-harm,
- Bulling,
- Substance Missus,
- County Lines,
- Sexual Exploitation,
- Gangs,
- Development Delays and
- G-map.
I am also qualified with a Level 3 in Beauty Therapy, having 5 years experience within the sector.
